Verdant Lotus was inspired by the Song-dynasty practice of using lychee shell in incense, together with the clear and restrained character of green cypress.
Agarwood, sandalwood, and musk form the foundation, joined by Guangxi lychee shell, Omani green frankincense, Japanese shell incense, scrophularia, and highland cypress fruit from Yunnan.
